1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LiveTutor's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and students.
2. Description of Services
LiveTutor provides online tutoring services connecting students with qualified tutors. Our services include one-on-one tutoring sessions, progress tracking, and related educational support across Mathematics, English, Science, SAT Preparation, and IGCSE.
3. User Accounts
When registering, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain your credentials securely, accept responsibility for all account activities, and notify us of unauthorized use. Parents or guardians must register on behalf of students under 18.
4. Free Trial Sessions
LiveTutor offers a complimentary 60-minute introductory session to new users, limited to one per family. No payment information is required. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are in USD and subject to change with prior notice. Payment is due before or at the time of each session. We accept major credit cards and other displayed payment methods. Volume discounts apply for 8+ sessions per month.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Late cancellations may forfeit the session fee. If a tutor cannot attend, we will reschedule or provide a substitute at no cost.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your tutor within the first 4 sessions, we will match your child with a new tutor at no extra cost. Full refund available within the first month, no questions asked. Refunds processed within 14 business days.
8. Tutor Conduct
All tutors undergo rigorous vetting including background checks, qualification verification, and accent proficiency assessment. If you have concerns about a tutor, please contact us immediately.
9. Session Recordings
Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance. Recordings are accessible only to the parent/guardian, assigned tutor, and authorized staff. Recordings are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the LiveTutor website is our property or our content providers' and is protected by intellectual property laws. Educational materials are for personal, non-commercial use only.
11. User Responsibilities
You agree to ensure a suitable learning environment, provide reliable equipment, treat tutors with respect, not arrange sessions outside the platform, and not distribute session content without authorization.
12. Limitation of Liability
LiveTutor provides services on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services in the preceding 3 months.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We reserve the right to suspend access for violations of these terms, abusive behaviour, or failed payments. Outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if that fails, binding arbitration.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated revision date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
